Great IT Books #1

Professional VB 2005: I've been waiting for this book to come out every since I started using VB.Net 2005. The biggest reason is because of Rockford Lhotka. I've been a fan of his every since he published Visual Basic 6.0 Business Objects years ago. The information is presented in a way that is easy for me to understand and, though not perfect, it covers all the topics that I need.

Micro-ISV: From Vision to Reality: Every now and then a book comes along that I am compelled to read. I happened to be at Barns & Noble a few weeks ago looking for another book, when this one caught my eye. I picked it up, thumbed through it and was immediately hooked. I've been thinking about selling my software online for a while now but couldn't find a good resource for finding the information I'd need to properly get started (or at least that was my excuse). This book left me with no excuses. It is laid out in a very easy to understand format with absolutely no code, just the information you need to properly market, and sell your software online. This is a must read book for anyone with an entrepreneurial spirit!

Pro ASP.NET 2.0 Website Programming (Pro): I have to admit that I'm not very far into this book yet, but everything that I've read within it has been very concise and helpful. What I like about it most is that it doesn't bog me down so much in needless jargon that I end up reading paragraphs 2 and 3 times just to understand what he's trying to say.
